On July 19th ASDO held the Certificate Ceremony for the project of “Developing competencies of Youth and Entrepreneurs in the 21st Century” supported by the National Youth Agency and the State Minister for Youth and Children.
During this project more than 210 youth from Tirana, Shkodra, Korça, Gjirokastra and Saranda were trained in one of the 4 modules of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), Python Programming, Web Design and Digital Marketing. The trainings lasted for more than 3 months and they were focused on providing not just theoretical information, but a lot of practice and exercises that made this project be very successful in terms of satisfaction of the participants as well as gained skills.
The certificate ceremony was a moment for the trainees to get together, interact and share their experiences, as well as the donor agencies to witness the results of the project and meet with some of the success stories.
Two of the trainees Sara Mara and Erisa Lika presented their stories to the group, of how the training in GIS helped them gain new skills and how it would improve their day to day work. Then the State Minister for Youth and Children Ms. Bora Muzhaqi discussed the possibilities that young people participating in the project as well as other ones have in order to access programs focused on raising youth IT skills.
By the end of the project, the most successful young people who completed the trainings will be able to choose to complete an internship at different businesses with the possibility to grow even more professionally.
