Creative industries are vibrant and ever-changing, producing content in non-traditional formats while leveraging creative and intensive knowledge. One interesting example of this is an art history electronic game, which can greatly raise awareness about the country’s cultural, artistic, and historical heritage. These industries play a crucial role in this effort.
In today’s fast-paced world, the use of technology has grown rapidly, extending beyond younger age groups to encompass citizens of all ages. On one hand, the increasing interest of young people in technological tools is evident; on the other, there is a noticeable decline in their enthusiasm to learn about the history and culture of the country. To address this gap, an innovative solution was devised to merge these two contrasting interests, creating a practical and engaging tool for youth.
The project Art and History in an Electronic Game is a unique initiative implemented by the Albania Sustainable Development Organization (ASDO) with support from the Ministry of Culture. It introduces an electronic game designed to engage young people across various age groups in a dynamic and educational experience that seamlessly combines learning and play.
As part of this project, a digital platform is being developed to run on both Android and iOS systems. This platform will host a quiz-based game enriched with continuous information about Albania’s history and culture. Each stage of the game will feature content drawn from the country’s rich historical events and cultural heritage, offering players an engaging journey through the past.
This project introduces two groundbreaking innovations. First, it marks the debut of Albania’s history and cultural heritage in electronic format. Second, it delivers knowledge, culture, and heritage in an interactive, technological, and modern way. The information presented in the game will not just be static; it will serve as a key element for progressing through the stages, ensuring an immersive and educational gaming experience.
