Dita e Mentorimit në GIR Albania: Nga Financat dhe Inovacioni tek Sipërmarrja dhe Zhvillimi i biznesit, praktikat më të mira për Start Up-et shqiptare
September 17, 2025Oslo / Tirana, September 2025 — The Albania Sustainable Development Organization (ASDO) represented Albanian civil society at the NECE Festival 2025 held in Oslo, Norway from 2 to 4 September, joining over 200 civic educators, activists, and policymakers from across Europe.
Organized by THE CIVICS Innovation Hub in partnership with the European Wergeland Centre, the festival’s theme “HOPE” explored how civic education and human rights activism can sustain democratic resilience in times of global uncertainty.
At the festival, through panels, open space sessions, and project showcases, ASDO forged new ties with European civic actors, exchanged practices, and elevated its visibility on the continental stage.
- Day 1 opened powerful conversations on how empathy, resilience, and active citizenship can overcome fear, rebuild trust, and drive change in our societies.
- Day 2 and 3 have been filled with inspiring exchanges, bold ideas, and hopeful visions for civic education and democracy in Europe.
ASDO team took part in interactive workshops on:
Financial Education – exploring how municipalities can empower citizens with tools for economic resilience and inclusion.
Participatory Processes – sharing and learning innovative ways to ensure communities are directly engaged in local decision-making.
All themes connect directly to our Balkan Human Rights Cities Initiative, where we are training local governments to adopt a Human Rights-Based Approach in governance and co-creating spaces where citizens’ voices truly matter.
Our message is clear:
hope becomes real when human rights guide local governance. ASDO’s attendance aligns with its mission to amplify local voices and strengthen institutional frameworks for rights-based governance across the Balkans. The exposure is expected to help attract additional partners, enrich project design, and anchor the initiative within European civic education networks.
