Empowering Migrant Workers through a 3R framework in Albania
March 7, 2024With the aim to address the growing concerns surrounding online security and the repercussions of impulsive clicking, the Polytechnic University of Tirana hosted an open discussion led by Eno Shyti. The event, titled “Think Before You Click!” aimed to shed light on crucial strategies individuals should stick to before following links online, offering valuable insights into avoiding potential troubles and consequences associated with using the internet.
The discussion emphasized the need for individuals to exercise caution and mindfulness when interacting with online content, particularly hyperlinks that may lead to unforeseen consequences.
The presentation started with the explanation of the key words that helped to understand the significance of our relationship with the online world. Moreover, hacking was a very delicate topic to touch, as Albania has suffered from the Cyber Attacks, which also helped the audience to fully comprehend how important it is to protect our personal data, and how we should act towards anomalies or problems we face with our smart devices. During the event, Shyti provided practical advice on discerning between legitimate and potentially harmful links, urging participants to adopt a critical mindset before engaging with unfamiliar online material.
An important part of the open forum was the involvement of the students who expressed their concern or the information they had gathered until now, related to online security, how could that information be relevant and used in everyday basis.
In an era where cyber threats continue to evolve, the insights shared by Eno Shyti serve as a valuable resource for anyone looking to enhance their digital literacy and protect themselves from the potential pitfalls of impulsive online actions. The “Think Before You Click!” event stands as a testament to fostering awareness about online security and promoting responsible online behavior.
