Strengthening Cyber Resilience in the Western Balkans
October 17, 2025On September 18, 2025, Tirana transformed into the capital of innovation and fresh ideas. The stage of Get in the Ring Albania 2025 brought together dozens of young entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, and institutional representatives, creating an electrifying atmosphere where ambition and creativity clashed head-to-head. In a unique format where ideas are presented as duels, each startup had only a few minutes to convince the jury and the audience that their solution deserved a place on the international stage.
This edition of Get in the Ring proved that Albania not only has new talents and promising ideas but also the capacity to be part of the global entrepreneurship ecosystem. Young innovators presented solutions spanning green technology, digital services, creative platforms, and innovation in traditional industries – showing that the spirit of change is alive and ready to break boundaries.
From Selections to Idea Battles
The competition began with a full day of training and pitching sessions, where more than 50 applicants, and 16 startups advanced to the live competition, stepping into the ring for head-to-head duels.
The final night delivered a vibrant showcase of ideas, ranging from green technologies to digital services and creative platforms, captivating both the jury and the audience alike.
The Winners
The responsibility of selecting the winners was entrusted to a distinguished jury. Migena Kapllanaj from Swisscontact contributed her expertise in organizational development and skills for jobs; Migel Hidi, Director of Innovative Policies and Strategies at MEKI, highlighted the role of forward-looking policy; while Dritan Nako from Titan Cement Company brought in the corporate and industrial perspective. Adding to this diversity, Blerina Guga, CEO of Junior Achievement Albania, emphasized youth entrepreneurship and financial education, and Edlira Muedini, Director of Helvetas Albania, provided the dimension of international cooperation and development.
This diversity of expertise gave the jury a comprehensive view of the competing ideas, and in the end, they crowned Katalogim as the champion – Albania’s first ConTech Marketplace, digitizing the construction industry through AI and BIM technology. By streamlining procurement, reducing waste, and enhancing efficiency, Katalogim is reshaping how the building industry works in the region.
With this victory, Katalogim will represent Albania at the Get in the Ring Global Competition 2025, pitching in front of global investors, companies, and innovators.
Meanwhile, Greecon, the runner-up, secured the support of Junior Achievement Albania to participate in an international competition, ensuring that Albania will be represented by not one but two innovative startups on the global stage.
