May 10, 2025The Albania Sustainable Development Organization (ASDO) is implementing a strategic project aimed at strengthening data protection practices in Albania, with a focus on building sustainable skills and structures aligned with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The overall objective is to improve security and institutional stability by enhancing the capacities of Data Protection Officers (DPOs) in both the public and private sectors. The project also works toward institutionalizing data protection training at the national level, ensuring long-term compliance and resilience in handling personal data.
🎯 Project Objectives
- Develop GDPR-aligned training materials
Creation of localized training content that aligns with Albanian legislation and EU standards on data protection. - Train DPOs in public and private sectors
Capacity building for key personnel responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection laws in their institutions. - Establish a certified trainer pool
Implementation of a Training of Trainers (ToT) model to ensure the sustainability of DPO training programs across the country.
