Albania’s UNESCO protected sites in 100 photos

In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of Albania and with the support of UNESCO, A.S.D.O is implementing the project entitled: “Albania’s UNESCO protected sites in 100 photos”.

The main objective of it: “Bringing to the young generation an overview of their country’s cultural heritage treasures included in the world heritage”. The implementation period will be July – December 2015. All the activities will take place in Albania. Two professional photographs have taken photos from the protected sites of three main cities Gjirokastra, Berat and Butrint. 100 professional photos are accompanied with short story of each site presented. The travel exhibition has started on 25 October 2015, to 10 cities across the country for increasing the awareness of the importance of cultural heritage in Albania.

This is the first time that the protected sites of Albania are coming together for the audience of primary and secondary schools, bringing to the young generation on overview of their country’s cultural heritage treasures included in the world heritage.

The travelling exhibition will be inaugurated at the National Historical Museum of Albania, in the end of the project, in the presence of the Minister of Culture, Minister of Education and Sport, National UNESCO Committee Representatives, UNESCO representatives.
